The Learning Coalition is a Honolulu-based, non-partisan not-for-profit organization dedicated to excellence in Hawaii’s public schools. We fundamentally believe that the successful transformation of our public education system is a matter of shared responsibility and differentiated accountability. That is, everyone has a unique and critical role to play.

-We believe that Hawaii’s children will not be prepared and positioned for successes unless we communicate effectively, learn to trust each other and align our efforts — from families and schools through all levels of governance.

- We hold that success is not sustainable without a culture of collaboration characterized by active engagement and support from families, communities and schools.

-We envision a system of public education in which the family, community, school and Board & Department of Education are in partnerships characterized by trust, mutual respect and responsibility.

We pursue these goals by providing technical assistance and strategic investments to emerging and established stakeholders working to transform our schools and system for the betterment of our children.
